What is Driven Sports Lean Xtreme?
Driven Sports Lean Xtreme is a specialized formula positioned by the manufacturer for dieting phases, body definition, and cortisol metabolism. The product is aimed at customers who pay close attention to their body composition and, alongside training and nutrition, are looking for specific ingredient combinations. Unlike many conventional fat burners, Lean Xtreme does not rely on caffeine as a central ingredient. However, because of certain ingredients, the formula cannot be equated with an ordinary dietary supplement. The diet aid’s main claimed strength is its cortisol-inhibiting effect.
At the heart of the product is the Lean Xtreme™ Proprietary Blend. It combines green tea extract, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Coleus forskohlii, phosphatidylserine, the DHEA-related compound 5-AT, and black pepper extract with BioPerine®. Some of these ingredients have been studied individually in relation to metabolic processes or stress responses. The 5-AT compound, however, differs fundamentally from the botanical ingredients and raises separate hormonal and regulatory questions.
Why are athletes interested in this concept? During a diet, the focus is often on fat loss, preserving muscle mass, and the overall strain of training and a calorie deficit. Cortisol is often discussed in this context because the hormone is involved in the stress response and energy metabolism. However, an elevated cortisol level does not automatically mean that body fat will increase or muscle mass will decrease. Body composition continues to depend, among other things, on energy balance, adequate protein intake, and well-designed resistance training. A reliable improvement in body composition from Lean Xtreme itself has not been adequately demonstrated in clinical studies.
- Developed for those interested in dieting and physique definition: Driven Sports positions Lean Xtreme for customers who, alongside nutrition and training, are interested in cortisol metabolism and body composition.
- A different approach from classic stimulant fat burners: The formula combines plant extracts and phosphatidylserine with the DHEA-related ingredient 5-AT, rather than using caffeine as its primary active ingredient.
- A specialized formula with significant limitations: The confirmed 90-capsule version contains 455 mg of Proprietary Blend per capsule. The individual amounts remain unknown; the formula is not approved for the German food market.

GREEN TEA AND COLEUS FORSKOHLII: The confirmed label lists green tea extract with 50% EGCG and Coleus forskohlii with 40% forskolin. Both plant compounds are being studied in connection with metabolism. Since the amounts of the respective extracts are not provided, the actual amounts of EGCG and forskolin cannot be determined.
PHOSPHATIDYLSERINE: Phosphatidylserine is a component of biological cell membranes. It has been studied, among other things, in connection with stress responses and cortisol. This does not provide conclusive evidence that Lean Xtreme lowers cortisol levels.
15-hydramax™ AND BioPerine®: The formula also contains Salvia miltiorrhiza under the name 15-hydramax™ and black pepper extract with BioPerine®. No individual amounts are listed for these ingredients. BioPerine® may affect the absorption of certain substances, which is also relevant to possible interactions with medications.
