What is RAD140 - SARM Testolone?
RAD140, also known as Testolone or Radarine, is a so-called Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator (SARM for short), which was developed as an alternative to the well-known testosterone replacement therapy.
As a Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator, RAD 140 binds to androgen receptors (the same receptors that testosterone binds to) and can stimulate skeletal muscle tissue without androgenic side effects. RAD140 is considered one of the most potent SARMs, as it has a strong anabolic-to-androgenic ratio and also has unique properties that were identified when it was combined with testosterone—but more on that later. In principle, RAD 140 is a research compound used for research purposes and has so far been tested predominantly in rat studies.
The effects of RAD 140
RAD 140 is a potent anabolic agent and, in addition to rapidly increasing lean muscle mass, also provides greater muscle hardness, strength, and faster recovery. It selectively stimulates the muscles in skeletal muscle tissue, helping them build more mass faster. RAD 140 is particularly popular among athletes focused on building muscle, especially because it is available as oral capsules or in drop form.
Is RAD 140 the strongest SARM in the world?
Alongside Ligandrol (LGD 4033), Testolone RAD 140 is considered one of the most potent SARMs. Its anabolic effect is comparable to that of real steroids and can lead to a rapid increase in lean muscle mass. The increase in muscle mass is comparable to that achieved with prohormones or real steroids, which is why this substance is not freely sold or available in Germany. It is also on the FDA's list of banned substances and is not approved for competition.
Combining RAD140 and testosterone - synergy and fewer side effects?
Radarine has a special property when used in conjunction with exogenously administered testosterone. Normally, SARMs such as Ostarine are not combined with additional testosterone. RAD 140, however, is different. It can significantly reduce the androgenic side effects of testosterone (including hair loss, aggression, dry joints, and an unfavorable testosterone-to-estrogen ratio). It also reduces water retention as a testosterone-related side effect. This makes RAD 140 an interesting option for competition preparation for advanced professional athletes, as one of the few SARMs to do so.
RAD 140 (Testolone) use and dosage - what is the best form?
RAD 140 is taken in very low amounts, typically for periods limited to 4–8 weeks. The daily dosage is therefore in the range of 4–8 mg.
RAD 140 is available in various forms, including traditional capsules and drops (for sublingual use). The sublingual drop form is the most bioavailable.
RAD 140 side effects & risks
"Every active substance that has an effect also has side effects." This is a rule of thumb that holds true in most cases, and RAD 140 is no exception. Testolone RAD 140 also has side effects, including:
- Liver strain (lethargy after a few weeks)
- Reduced hormone production (low testosterone levels after a cycle)
- Reduction in testosterone's androgenic side effects (if administered exogenously)
Benefits of RAD140
- Increased muscle mass
- Greater strength
- Improved fat burning
- Greater sense of alpha status
